A decorative weaving I completed last night.
Technical details: Mohair of course; some natural, some dyed by
And boy do I need practice - it's supposed to be symmetrical. The stripes are all fatter on the left.
The colors don't look true in the picture. It's not that green. The colors ARE symmetrical; here it looks particularly more green on the right because of the light. I'll bring it in for show & tell,

I normally don't have much use for NPR's segment "This I believe". People can believe any irrational thing they want as long as they don't bother me about it. But maybe it was the slightly NY accent and depth of voice of today's commentator that influenced me (or at least kept me from turning off the radio - sometimes I can't stand people's voices, there's this particular kind of over-pronounced R, precious feminine accent that just drives me... OK enough). What she believes is something her father taught her: Always go to the funeral. And the line I liked was:
“In my humdrum life, the daily battle hasn't been good versus evil. It's hardly so epic. Most days, my real battle is doing good versus doing nothing.”
